Pesticide Registration:
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

The Traditional Way

Before Kelly Registration Systems, the pesticide registration process was a time-consuming, manual process. Companies would begin by requesting registration information and necessary forms from state agencies. When the forms arrived, they would complete the forms, calculate the necessary fees and assemble and mail the applications. Then they would manually track each registration, trying to stay on top of which were approved, which were rejected or when a product was discontinued or not renewed.

If a company's application in a certain state was rejected due to errors, the company would correct whatever mistakes were made and resubmit the application. Once the registration was approved by that state, the company would begin distributing the product in that state.

The KRS Way

Kelly Registration Systems has streamlined this process, making the pesticide registration process easy and accurate. Using the KPRS Gold system, registrants enter their company and product information one time, select the states in which their product is to be registered and the system produces the necessary forms and fee calculations. KPRS automatically generates the state-specified forms for both new registrations as well as renewals and accurately calculates fees. KRS is developing a close working relationship with the states so that registrants using KPRS can be assured that they are working with each state's current requirements. KPRS Gold customers can then use the appropriate registration tracking tools to monitor the status of each registration or renewal - from submission to approval - in each and every state.

Electronic Transmission:

In streamlining the pesticide registration process, KRS products enable customers to accomplish in minutes what traditionally has taken hours to complete. These new methods of processing registrations, both through the KPRS-Gold, as well as our online products, provide many benefits to both registrants and regulatory agencies. These benefits include a significant time savings,  increased submission accuracy, improved reporting capabilities, and easier registration tracking.
